Hello all,

I am a web developer at eBay currently making the move into full-time freelancing and online entrepreneurship.

Appropos cheering others on, I am also in the process of creating a new website called "Tales of Liberation" that will feature nothing but stories of people who have quit or been let go from their full-time jobs and moved into self employment with at least some measure of success (doesn`t have to be huge success).

The purpose of this site will be to give fledgling entrepreneurs and freelancers concrete evidence that it is indeed possible to make the switch to self-employment, regardless of your circumstances. At the same time, the site will serve as an educational resource chock-full of invaluable "road-tested" advice and information.

Already I`ve gotten some incredible accounts from entrepreneurs and freelancers from a wide variety of businesses, and the site is shaping up to be an awesome storehouse of invaluable how-to content and inspiration. Some of my entrepreneurial tales include those of a television and film composer, a business coach, a graphic designer, the owner of a painting a drywall company, a blogger and soon-to-be-published author, and the list goes on...

If you have made the transition from 9-5 to self-employment and would like to have your story and your business featured, please get in touch with me as soon as possible, as I`d love to include you and put you in front of as many "eyeballs" as possible.

Here`s the URL: http://www.talesofliberation.com

Thanks!

BUSINESS PLAN:

Ancient Grains Baking Company is a creation of several years of extensive market research in the food and restaurant industry.

Beginning as a `brand project` in one of the top grain milling centers in the world, Minneapolis, Minnesota, I relocated Ancient Grains Baking Company as an intellectual endeavor to the creative and spiritual mecca of Santa Fe, New Mexico ... a place widely known for its timeworn authenticness and old world cachet.

Creating a rich and enduring brand was and still is an overlying goal. And having a line of groundbreaking consumer food products carried along by an exceptional name and very striking brand indentity is something of the utmost value and accomplishment in today`s commercial world.

Overall company segments include:
  • internet sales
  • wholesale food manufacturing /
    distribution to grocery stores
  • pre-Columbian/ancient grain-themed restaurants
  • wholesale bakery outlet stores w/ eateries
    and delivery vehicles
  • healthy fast food restaurant units
  • small mall units
  • corporate and event catering
First and foremost the brand/company name of Ancient Grains Baking Company stands alone and completely unique, nationally and beyond, in the entire mass consumer marketplace.

While many grocery shoppers can find a loaf of ancient grain bread in the average organic grocery store (like spelt, for example), absolutely no one else in the entire food or baking industry has ever created a brand or a company with `ancient grains` as part of its name, its brand or company theme, or what its product line is comprehensively about.

Something of beauty in this project is that while there is a relatively limited supply of ancient grains and ancient grain flour there is (an affordable) plentitude of it to commence as a local or even regional enterprise ........ but yet it is this `limited supply` factor that keeps major food and restaurant franchise entities out of the act, if they have even thought of it at all. (This is covered in more detail in this business plan section of Market Analysis / Industry Data)...

So year in and year out as this company grows exponentially so can the ancient grain farmer/grower aspect increase its supply according to our marketplace demand.

Overall our product line includes, but is not limited to:
  • breads, pizza crusts, tortillas, taco shells
  • snack items as nutrition bars and bagged chips
  • frozen section grocery items as our bison pot pie
and free-range turkey pot pie made w/ blue corn crust
  • boxed breakfast cereals
  • nutritional donuts and pastries
Of course all the above are to be made from any one of our extra nutritious ancient grain flours -- of amaranth, quinoa, chia, spelt, kamut, blue corn and others -- that are distinctive tasting with their own fascinating historical background narratives from pre-Columbian times and cultures from around the world.
