Hello everyone,
if you have any recommendations for a good web application development professional please help! I tried rentacoder, odesk and elance but no luck - spent $5000 this year on offshore developers but no real progress was made. Ideally, I can dream of finding someone who is very capable of building a Web 2.0 database-driven website (web application.) and most importantly can think on their own and grasp the concept of the project so he/she can work independently without constant direction for every single thing. The work done so far is based on vb.net asp.net ajax and sql2005. I can also switch entirely to another technology if I have to in order to get the job done right and complete.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you explored to see if such an application already exists? There are a many many scripts available that handle a great variety of functions.

It may be that someone has to use one or more scripts to provide for your needs.

If you`d like, you can PM me your needs and I`ll see if something is available.

Nick,

Sorry to hear that you spent 5k and nothing was get done. It is always the case with outsourcing because the wavelenght, work mentality, design capability and sense doesn't really match to our expectation.

I am .net developer myself and been developing website for almost 15 years and works in .net full time for almost 7 years . I own many websites myself and do build websites for my friends and local business. If you are still looking for .net developer, I can help. I am placed in Houston and call you if you need.

Let me know

This thread started in 2008. It should have stayed buried. Can any mods lock this?
