My business partner and I are looking for $100K to fill the gap between what we can get from the SBA (we need to have the 1-to-1 equity which puts us at 80% of what we are asking for).  We are opening a winery in a high tourist area in California where we bring in the grapes already juiced.  We already have lots of interest and events booked but need the $$`s from the SBA to get the doors open.  We have put in around $80K already and just need the lead to get money from an individual or group who wants to make a great investment.  Any ideas?

You might try googling something like "wine venture capital". Here is an article but seems more focused on online wine sales, http://www.internetnews.com/bus-news/article.php/156821

I would try that and contact a few venture capital firms that invest in wine startups. I did similar thing for a new concept I`m working on, Medivate www.medivate.com so I searched for "medical venture capital" and found a few med vc firms.

Good luck!

Go to www.gobignetwork.com .  Its a listing of all sorts of funding available from all over the world.  You should be able to find something there.  Good luck.

Have the bank asked for collateral? We ran into this 3 years ago. It seems that the rules with the SBA is getting tighter. You may need to collectively raise the funds between many sources. For one, try prosper.com. You have a chance of receiving 25k.
