In this case I may not be fishing in the right pond but, since I am already here I guess it won`t hurt to put it out there!
I have developed a "Theme" Bar & Grill concept and am now looking for prospective investors.
The concept is unlike any that I am aware of at this time and with some hard work and creative thought...should have a good shot at becoming a national franchise!
I am interested in starting the business in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area but am open to suggestions and negotiations.
Any inquires should be directed to mgb.markeitng@comcast.net

Hello  I have a profitable interesting project I am looking to keep going with an investor or two.  I am located in the Toronto area and have been working on my project over the last 8 months or so.  Most everything is in place and I am looking for an interested investor to take a look at my project and help it along.  We are hosting two exciting events.  First is a Cardathon, "Cards for Kids" where we will be having 6000 people playing three different card games, raising money for challenged kids and setting a guinness world record at the same time.  As we have a large amount of people to accomadate we must secure a venue before we offer registration to the public, as well we must advertise and prepare for this one day event.  Our second event will be Survive Canada.  Its time Canada had its own version of the hit reality show of Survivor.  We have a logo, and registration page ready to put on line and begin registration.  We need funds for advertising and to expand the project.

We already have a large amount of money invested in these events and need something to get us over the edge until we have ticket sales coming in. I am willing to offer a great return as I appreciate any help we can find.  Thanks for your time.

Steve

A couple of good places to start:

1. Prosper program right here on StartUpNation.com. Check the forum threads.

2. Go to google or yahoo or whatever your favorite search engine is and type "angel investors, [your city]".

Good Fortune

I`m a Small Business Developer and have clients seeking investors to partake a role in their venture.  These clients consist of start-ups and existing businesses wanting to expand their products/services into the marketplace.

I tried Prosper.com and found them a little difficult to work with.  (Perhaps it was just me.)   I just started raising capital with BEDZZZ INN, Inc who has raised $92,867 in 90 Days Online. My transition to raising capital was smooth. I am on my way to raising capital needed to expand my real estate investing business. Check this site out or email me about this unique idea.  http://funkurl.com/tvyk

You could ask family, friends, etc. to loan you money for your startup. Offer to pay them back within a specified time frame and/or pay them a small interest % till it`s paid off.
