It will not be helps you much. You need to do something extra. Submission  into genaral websites and directories isn't send traffic that gives only links.

What you can do traffic:

1) Place your adds in traval portals

2) link exchanges with travel sites that has hug amount of traffic

3) You can try ppc for traffic

4) Post Articles on travel portal whether it paid or free
