I've recently designed/developed and launched a new social networking website. It's pretty basic, no complicated applications or privacy settings!..
Features:
Profiles and Information
Photo Uploads
Comment and Like/Dislike Pictures
Add Friends
Follow People
Wall posts and Notifications
Does Not Have:
Applications
Direct Messaging
Instant Chat
Why does LifesApp not include Direct Messaging/Instant Chat/Applications?
LifesApp does not incorporate applications or 3rd party software/languages to it's social networking, this prevents 3rd party applications taking over your profile, spamming your walls, ruining your social networking experience.
No Instant Chat? This function may be added later but for now we want to go old school, write someone a message instead of instant chatting!
No Direct Messaging? LifesApp doesn't see the point in being able to contact someone in 3 different ways. What's wrong with just writing on someones wall to say Hi? Whats with all the secrecy of sending someone a direct message?.. Personal information should never be sent over the web so we feel direct messaging is not needed!
I'm posting here today to see viewers thoughts and the possibility of receiving funding for the future development of LifesApp.com.
