Let`s say you have a credit card balance of 10k and your minimum payments are approximately 400 per month. Other than the fact that you will never pay off the balance, what can and will the creditors do if you only pay 100 per month because that`s all you can afford?

I would call and speak to them about making a deal rather than just paying some arbitrary amount.
