The laces on my shoestring budget are broken.

Our baby is due in about three weeks, my wife was in a car wreck two days ago (she and the baby are fine, but the car is out of commission), I no longer have the income from my job to help out, so we are kind of looking at ways to keep afloat untill the business starts generating steady income.

I am an "outside of the box" thinker, but with all of the recent situations my brain is going in every which direction. Anyone have any ideas? Right now we are doing the credit card to pay the credit card thing, but that is only adding up expenses.

Stop paying any bills except absolutely those most necessary. The main focus has to be getting money coming in, whether from the business, or getting outside work. 

I disagree ... make min payments or you`ll end up trashing your credit.

Is there any way to go ask all your past and current clients for referrals?
Have a quick sale to do a bunch of business in a short time?

Nothing wrong with using credit card to pay credit cards - as long as you use zero percent balance transfers.

Hmmmm....now I cannot even remember what AOR means. Well, basically, you get a long list of credit cards which offer 0% BT, and apply to all of them in a very short period.

Sorry to hear about the card accident. Everything will eventually be fine, and you will end up the best real life educational story to tell your kid.

Thanks guys for the help. I guess with the baby on the way and the lack of funds I was having a temporary pitty party and kind of lost focus as to what I needed to do. Thanks for the advice.

Very good advice. If the dream was meant to happen then make it happen. That is the motto I took when I was faced with financial issues.

If creating a successful business was easy, everyone would do it. Hard times fall on all of us, it is those who can make it through that will be a success. What I suggest is get out there and guerilla market ALL DAY LONG. If you don`t have a "regular" job, get online and use public postings, forums, message boards, and link trades to drive as much traffic to your site as possible. Do some research on guerilla marketing on Google and use every tactic you can find. Also you may want to think about hiring a business consultant to suggest more in-depth and customized tactics.

I would do what you have to do to get it off the ground. That is why people thrive in the small business atmosphere cus it is us against the world mentality.
