I know this has been covered a lot here but not my situation.

Im new here so hellow everyone.

I started a LLC with legal zoom and for personal reasons I need to change the name of the company. I can do this on legal zoom but if I do it on sunbiz.org the Florida small business site its cheap and seems easy.

My concern and question.

All the stuff from legal zoom has my current business name on it.

If I change the name, will I be able to get a bank account for the new name easily or will it be a hassle getting the new paper work?

What paper work will I get after the name change that I can take to the bank?

I am also going to set up a DBA under the new business as well.

Thank you for your help !!!!!

tokyojosh,

When you amend your company name you file what is called Articles of Amendment with the state. When the Articles are approved by the state you can go to the bank and present them as a proof of the name change. You also need to notify the IRS about the name change.

Alternatively you could just register a DBA with the name you want to use.

What other stuff from LegalZoom do you have your current name on?
