I have a question about LLC with a nonprofit staus. I have done some research and have found that you can have a non profit status as a LLC is this true? My other question is, is the 501c(3) the only way you can receive grants or funding?

Kanaka You can use an LLC as a non-profit in most states. There could be liability issues, however, I had my non-profit as an LLC and never had any problems. You can find grants as a profit company in this economy they are hard to find. RFP's are a little easier depending on your focus. Most large companies will not grant to a non 501c(3).
