LAURUS has a trademark and sells wine.  SAURUS sells wine and wants to register a trademark.  Do you think the words "LAURUS" and "SAURUS" are so similar that somebody buying wine would be likely to be confused into thinking wine from one source actually comes from the other?

Hi,

I am a new member and entrepreneur who is looking into trademarks etc for my company.

Your question about Laurus vs Saurus... personally, from a consumer opinion I think it would be tacky.  Can ya not think of anything more original.  And why do you want to have confused customers in the beginning of your business venture?  I

Did the new guy know about the original user?  I take it you think the two marks would be confusingly similar.

I would say it would have to do with the labeling as well, how confused people get.

But it is pretty tacky to think of something that close. Be original!

Maybe they are just twins separated at birth?
