The value of directory submissions has decreased (for Google), however, it is still a good idea to submit to quality, relevant directories.

Agreed.

Here`s a list of the `good` directories to submit to.

Absolutely to directory listings, but you need to find directories relevant to the products/services on your site. The more links you have to your site, the higher you`ll climb in Google. Best bet is to find someone who knows what they are doing in this realm and who has the time time to find all the relevant links for you.

While the right directory submissions will help, you should only do it in moderation and diversify your link building strategy.  If the inbound links to your site only consist of directory links, it may not appear very natural to the search engines.  Therefore, it is best to use directory submissions as one out of many strategies for your link building campaign.

I agree with the above.  Use page rank (via the Google toolbar) only as a rough estimate to see the rank of the directories.  If the rank is five or better you are safe to submit.

Only do a select number a month and ensure they are creditable.  Don`t do a reciprocal at all.  SPAM anymore.

More links to your site is better for SERP is not true, more related and quality links are better for organic traffic.
