I`d never heard of Jack Hardy! Did I miss a memo? Who is dat guy, and is he the one Jimi Hendrix refers to, "S`cuse me while I kiss this guy?"

I hadn`t either but it got me curious and with the power of Google I found this page:

Jack Handy quotes

He is pretty funny. Thanks Todd for bringing him up. Glad you liked it

Ah...thanks for the link. I didn`t have a TV for a number of years, right when SNL got started, so I missed a whole lot of Cull`Chuh. :-) But I`m catching up. (I think I`m gonna rent "Jaws," `cause I heard that`s supposed to be a good movie.)

There`s a difference between an -ism and good humor, though. Yogiisms are based on a style (problem?) of logic. They`ve entered the language on the basis that many people who aren`t trying to be funny end up making these communication mistakes.

On the other hand, there`s so much humor in the world that it`s pretty hard to go through a week without at least 1 really good belly laugh! I used to think it was gas, but then realized it was just laughing. (When I was a baby, I totally remember laughing, and hearing the adults around me saying it was gas, though.)

LOL! I remember that one.... :-D I love surrealism.

There`s a line from one of those satire movies, I think...."Hot Shots Part Deux?" where Lloyd Bridges plays a nutso Navy commander. At the end, where there`s this big sword fight, I believe it`s he who says to the bad guy, "I`m gonna kill you so bad you`re gonnd DIE from it!"
