This topic was discussed at an entrepreneur face2face meeting and I don`t mind telling you what an eye-opener it was for me. The consensus amongst those in attendance at that meeting was, YES, running your own business definitely is detrimental to growth.
Expanding on the topic it was explained that you can not see what needs improvement, revamp, etc. from the inside because you are simply too close to the business and if you`re wrapped up in the day to day operations you won`t have available time to focus on growth.
Being brought up to believe you should keep a tight rein, always be very hands on and absolutely run the operations of the business yourself, this info was stunning to me and conflicted with everything I thought I knew. However, it made sense and caused me to re-examine a lot of things with regard to growth of the business. What do you think?
