Say my idea passed the initial stage of "reviewing". The next stage is getting invited to present your idea to the investor's.
Do they normally pay for the travels...etc, or is it normally always on us to pay ?
While there may be an exception - I don't know of any angel group or Venture Firm that will pay for your travel. We advise our clients to include that in their planning and budgeting for the cost of acquiring the capital.

Sounds strange, but you might want to watch a few episodes of Shark Tank. Ordinary people trying to get funding for their businesses get to meet with a panel of real investors. You can get a lot of good ideas on what an investor is looking for in a presentation from the show. As well as what are deal killers.
