I am the founder of Connecticut based InkPraise, a new crowdsourcing technology designed to rapidly disrupt the publishing industry.
Whatever the solution to publishing’s many woes, it must somehow bring ~80 million fiction writers (abandoned by publishing industry) in from the cold. We chose crowdsourcing because ~80 million aggrieved writers is too big a potential rebellion to ignore.
We aim to take this 'rebellion' & channel it through a highly disruptive technology. Not a niche play.
InkPraise is not at the engineering concept stage. Designed over 2+ years, we follow 75 strict rules that unlock crowdsourcing’s vast potential. The crowdsourcing engine is mathematically viable (proven over a wide range of inputs).
What this means is this: InkPraise mathematically guarantees that literature (which is quality enough to make it through our qualification process) will become bestselling books.
We launch May 2012. Two years of design work means the mathematical model & the software requirements (SEO included) are fully honed. Wireframes & Database complete.
We have 2 investors of $25K...each of whom is capable of investing $100K+ more post launch. I am putting in $25K. We are applying for Connecticut Innovations $150K pre-seed loan in Jan/Feb. Looking for 1 or 2 more investors.
