Intuit, makers of Quicken personal finance software, yesterday announced the acquisition of a competitor, Mint.com My opinion of this is:  This is very bad news for consumers.  Lack of competition will surely mean two things;  (a) higher prices for consumers and (b) little or no incentive for Intuit to improve their product.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this acquisition by Intuit?
