Okay, I guess technically I`m a nube at this site. I`m not a newbie at online forums and business related sites. So, I have to say up-front, that from the short week I`ve been a member, I`ve seen a ton of what my grand-mother from south Texas use to say, "you`re good-people". No flaming, no blasting, agreeing to disagree, civil and in general, quality informative posts.

So, as I have time, I intend to give back as much as I`ve received in reading and enjoying the various posts here.

Business - I`m currently employed in the "technology" field. Software, hardware, internet and anything related to the above. I`m deeply ensconced into the corporate culture and desperately looking for a way out

What in the world would a 20 year, graphics, software, hardware, data-center, customer support, web application builder, technical geek be considering? I`m in the throws of starting a completely different business that`s about as far from tech as it gets, high-end, exotic car rental business. Okay, they have computers, but I`m not going to fix them. Instead, I intend to use my web/technical prowess to enhance my business operation and capitalize on my knowledge to operate a "fun" centric business and hopefully make a little moola` on the way.

It seems that most here are onliners, service providers, non-profits, techies, web designers, etc... but at heart, we`re all just trying to live our dream of being our own boss, living the American dream and pursuing a passion and interest while generating some personal income.

Big howdy to all. (Okay, I`m originally from Texas, but that`s not really what I normally say.) Right now in Colorado, we`re all saying "BRRRRR...... Where`s the thermostat?"

Hello Everyone,

I neglected to introduce myself, such deplorabe manners is not in keeping with my personality.

I am not new to forums but finds my interest dwindles as the conversations are usually less than stellar or even stimulating, here however seem to have gathered a group of people who have intelligent things to say.  I have browsed some of the differents topics on discussion and appreciate the helpful tones.  I think I will stay here.

As for my business, I am a health and nutrition consultant with a 4 year old company.  I am also a full-time student earning a dual degree in Culinary Arts/Restaurant Mangement and Hotel Management.

I have a website (separate form my current business) that I have not yet began to develope as I have no idea what it  will be about.  But I will be looking into the various suggestions found here.

Hey AddassaMari,

Welcome to SuN!  I know some people who have used Isagenix products with great success.

This other website you have?  Is it online?  You must have had some ideas.  Share them with us!  There is no such thing as a wrong idea, just good ones and bad ones!. and it`s all sonewhat subjective anyway.

Hello Everybody!

Just wanted to say hello!  I’ve been ‘lurking’ here for the past couple of months off and on and decided it was time to officially introduce myself.

I have just recently started a virtual assistant business, part-time.  I work for an attorney part time, but he’s planning to retire this year and so my goal is to be up and running enough by that time to work full time from home!

Just wanted to say hello and thanks for your time!

Kim - welcome. Posting is more fun than lurking

There are many VAs at SuN so I believe you will find lots of support and folks who can assist you with answering any questions you have about the VA business or just business in general.

Best wishes for much success!

R@
