Hello All,

I`m a new member to forum, very excited to be here and read the many interesting posts!

I have a question related to fees for purchasing an international franchise.

I am considering purchasing a Canadian owned cleaning franchise and operating in San Diego.

They have great name recognition, excellent support and I can buy in USD at CDN prices.

Can I write off this cost on my personal income tax?

Any ideas will be gratefully received!

Thanks,
Jason

Yes, all business expenses can be written off.  This will be done using schedule C of your 1040.
