When I was thinking about starting a business until now, I have had "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill with me at all time.  When things were going rough, I looked to it for inspiration.  I, like anyone starting a business, have had roadblocks on the way.  The process is stressful and this quote from his book kept me energized and focused.  "Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carried with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit."  Those words really helped me when I felt like giving up!

What books have you found to be inspiration?

I wrote this originally as a book to train my salespeople then I morphed it into a board game.  Imagine the love child of Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly with the subjects being closing and sales technique.  It`s a lot of fun.

Robert Kiyosaki`s books and CDs are continual favorites. (Rich Dad Poor Dad, Rich Dad`s Guide to Investing, Retire Young Retire Rich, etc.) I`ve returned to them time and again over the years to keep me inspired and focused on building my assets and lowering my liabilities.

I love to read so I have a variety of books........ My favorite books that inspire me are the Bible, The Secret, The Power of Intention, The Seven Laws of Attraction and Awaken the Giant Within among others. Each book has a special way of motivating me in a different way - yet they all have a common message - your thoughts are quite powerful.

I recommend The 4-Hour Work by Timothy Ferris. It a good book that not only has some humor but has tons of practical advice to help you become more productive. I think some of the ideas found there are really essential. conversion optimization l ventrillo

Great point Sylvie-This is a wonderful list of books in English wish is about self esteem. I love to read and often wonder on how many great books I miss out on because I only know English. And, of course, these types of lists are great for generating debate on which books should be included that weren't selected.
