I read an article where the man had left his engineering job due to a downturn and started to work as a consultant. By knowing his US taxation laws, he decided to go into independent consulting, and he makes a 30-40% increased revenue (he also happens to live in one of the richest areas in the United States). This is definitely something that I look forward to doing instead of being stuck in a consulting job at a firm.

The article that I read talks a lot of his movements, which I find rather interesting though I am a consultant. I wonder if anyone else had the same progression.
