Hi,

Has anyone ever operated an MLM or Multi level Marketing company. I was considering joining AFLAC as an independent sales person. Is this similar to MLM. Are there any pitfalls that I should be aware of when dealing with this types of  companies?

There is a considerable difference. Working with a company that you do not have to recruit others is not a MLM. You are paid on each sale and renewal of contracts for residual income. A MLM depends its income of recruiting and purchase of product.

Yeah  that was a huge turn off with MLM. I think  I like the idea of selling an established product with  a great support system better.
