I`ve been using a phone system that uses VOIP (voice over internet) and it is incredible!  I`ve never had a problem with it, but also, it saves me so much time and money!  I`m a web programmer in Canada and my graphic design artist is based out of Virginia -- with this service we can call each other back and forth almost free!  Not to mention our clients come from all over North America, so I`m able to offer them an 1-800 number for a fraction of the cost!

I won`t got into all the details (like sending and receiving faxes, plans that start at 9.95/month for 1000 minutes of local and long distance, 800 and local numbers) because their website does a much better job!  (It`s got audio and video clips to explain everything)...

Check it out.  My entire company phone plan is $9.95 per month including fax, long-distance, company directory (extensions), fully customizable, and I can even call out from the number!  It really is incredible.

I`ve been using Ooma and like it very much.  There`s an upfront cost but then there are no monthly fees at all.  It really pays for itself in no time and it`s like having a free phone line with no bills.  I`ve had it several months now and use it for my business line.
