Hi All, since I can`t use a PO box to file my incorporation forms, the only other address I have available is my home.  I am in the process of lease negotiations for a store, but want to incorporate now.  I have read about people having issues listing their home phone in their applications (telemarketers, etc).  I assume I will have the same issue plus do not want my home address known.  Is there any way to get around this?  How about one of those mail box places that have physical addresses?  Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.  I really do not want to wait until I get my store lease since I want to sign everything under the corporation.  Thanks in advanced for any replies.

Hi Michelle,

You are absolutely correct, most States make all entity and officer information public, with the exception of a few States(NV). I always recommend my clients to get a post office box at a local Mail Box Center such as UPS` Mail Boxes Etc. Additionally, I do not recommend to enter any telephone numbers on public forms, unless they are required. Most public information and records are available to the public just for the asking (i.e. fictitious business filings, business licenses and more ). Please note that the United States Postal Service will not give you a physical address to use, they will only allow you to use PO Box #s and this is not acceptable by most Secretary of State Offices.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Sphynx!  I think I will look into the mail box centers at least until I receive the lease on the store.  Appreciate the reply!
