Hello, Its Me Again! This time with a new question. So here is what we are looking to do:

We make Jam/Jelly and are hoping to make an online application using something like Flash, that would allow you to customize the jar of jelly (like "Happy Birthday") It would allow you to type in a word or two and it would show you in real time. I would also like it to be able for the customer to upload a picture and place it on the jar.

My question is how would i go about doing this? Adobe Dreamweaver? Or Adobe Flash? Or would it be better just going to a web designer? Any suggestions would be great!

So you want something like zazzle but for your jelly products correct? I would just hire a web developer. This would take some time coding and I don't think there are any plugins that would accomplish this. I'm pretty sure it could be done using Jquery.

In computer science, real-time computing (RTC), or reactive computing, is the study of hardware and software systems that are subject to a "real-time constraint"— e.g. operational deadlines from event to system response. Real-time programs must guarantee response within strict time constraints.[1] Often real-time response times are understood to be in the order of milliseconds and sometimes microseconds. In contrast, a non-real-time system is one that cannot guarantee a response time in any situation, even if a fast response is the usual result.

Hi there,

Can I recommend avoiding Flash if possible - you will have issues with SEO and compatibility in the long terms as Flash gets updated (also, Adobe may be dropping the technology - look what happened to Silverlight).

What you are thinking of doing is quite complicated and I'd recommend finding a specialist to build it if you want it to be slick :-)

You can do everything you're planning in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS, it will be mroe flexible in the long term and less of a maintenance nightmare once deployed.

Hope that helps,

Martin

Occurring immediately. The term is used to describe a number of differentcomputer features. For example, real-time operating systems are systemsthat respond to input immediately. They are used for such tasks as navigation, in which the computer must react to a steady flow of new information without interruption. Most general-purpose operating systems are not real-time because they can take a few seconds, or even minutes, to react.
