I wish I were in a place to get something new started... I've got ideas flying in different directions!
Not sure if you're looking for ideas yourself or just work for your programmers but I've got a suggestion for you... I've been in internet marketing for a number of years now and until recently, there has never been a platform that handles EVERYTHING for businesses.
Take a look at Infusionsoft... they have found a way to automate a lot of different things including autoresponders, shopping carts, segmenting customers who bought certain products and adding them to specific lists, giving the user the ability to set up special automation rules depending on specific links customers click on and integrating direct mail triggers as a customer moves along in the sales funnel.
It's pretty cool but... they've screwed up somewhere along the line and some of the emails are getting caught in the spam filters and their customers service isn't the greatest.
There are a few others trying to copy them but haven't come close. If someone had a comparable system minus the flaws, it would be huge!
Just a thought...
