Hey Everyone.
I just wanted to introduce myself. I`m new to this site and have been enjoying reading everyone`s posts.
My name is Margot and  I started my business- SewingPatterns.com  in May 2001 in my parents 3 car garage while in college. I eventually outgrew my space and moved into a warehouse. Because of my internet based business, I was able to be a full time mother and run my business. My daughters, Daphne and Hailey both have been my constant source of inspiration and dedication to sharing the art of sewing worldwide. Most importantly, I want everyone regardless of shape or size to feel beautiful and confident in the clothing they make from our patterns.

Happy Sewing and I hope to hear from some of you.

Regards,
Margot

Welcome Margot, glad to meet you! Best of luck on your continued success with SewingPatterns.com.

You have a great success story and your site is very nicely designed! Did you do the designing yourself or did you hire someone?

Hi Matt!
My site has been evolving for 8 years now. If you were to see the way the site looked back in the day, you`d be dissapointed in me.  It`s been improving over time and most recently got this more professional look by someone I hired.

I perused your site a bit and I approve  :) It looks like a great place to visit for some real insight.

Hope to see you on the boards.

Hi Margot,

Nice to see the American dream is still alive.

I just joined StartUpNation and did a general forum search using the word, 'sew'.  I did not dream I would find a site I was already signed up on!!!

My endeavors are along the sewing lines.  Currently, my plans for my business are three-pronged so I will have more than one source of income generation.  As I continue on I will concentrate on the endeavor which generates the most income and fulfillment.

Glad to see you here!

Love the website, I think it is a prime example of a small business that has grown to be an important player in its niche.

Good job and best of luck
