I`d be happy to share that info to anyone interested. Just ask here. The shopping cart is actually a stand alone that can be added to ANY host site.

Two specific reasons....well, two and a half:
  1. Don`t have the money yet
  2. Don`t want to have too many orders yet, until we can outsource manufacturing.
The 1/2 reason is that we have a specific programming need, and that`s going to cost more than the Web site fees.

I am thrilled that this site exists to help with all the little things that come up when starting a business.  I went the coder route and paid someone to create a base site for me.  The problem I am having now is that I want to update and I don`t really know how.  My coder did a great job but I found him through a freelance site and now I can`t find him again.

You can see my site at www.supportmyoffice.com.  I really like the site and it could be fine just like it is but I would like to learn to add price specials, rate changes, and the like.  If anyone has suggestions for me, please feel free to share.

Again, thank you for all the insight and shared wisdom.

Jenifer D.

Jenifer,

I hate to tell you this, but your site has one significant problem that affects search results - it uses "frames". I recommend that your site be converted to a non-frames site. It will make your content (and keywords) more visable by search engine "bots".

There are also no meta descriptions (although by using frames they can`t be seen anyway)

Thank you for that input.  I understand your concerns and they are mine as well.  I just don`t know how to fix it.  Can I have a site that looks like this without frames?

Definitely - it`s a pretty small site, so converting it to no-frames is not a big deal.  It is a nicely designed site though - very pleasing to the eyes and easy to navigate.

What are you trying to edit?  The content text or something else?

A couple things immediately stand out to me:

1) Why do you have such a long and misspelled domain name?  www.cn-crystal.com is the same site and would be a lot easier for people to remember.

2) A quick peek at the code shows that the site is built using tables.  One side-effect of using tables is that there is a lot more code - for instance, paragraph stylings are repeated over and over again.  Having so much code makes it harder to find and fix problems (if any) and edit content.  It also slows down page loading, though that`s not as big an issue in these days of hi-speed internet.

3) The text in the footer is near impossible to read, even after increasing text size significantly.  It could be considered the `small print` of a contract that someone should read carefully and my hope is that there is no information that would scare off a potential customer.

4) None of the thumbnail pictures are sized an optimized, increasing page load times and making most of them look a little grainy.  Your products are based on crystal and by making the pictures the exact size of the thumbnail will make them look much better.  More than anything, someone who wants to buy crystal will want to see the clarity of the products.

I`m guessing that you made the site using Frontpage?

Hi, can you give me some seo suggestion for my website: www.cyrstal-perfume-bottle.cn-crystal.com? I whole perfume bottle.

thanks

It has been suggested that I make it a no-frames site.  I agree but it looks so nice this way.  I want more traffic though and that is more important.  Also, there is blank space on each page iwth my logo only appearing on the first page.  I want to add my logo on each page and learn to input quotes or pricing speacial in some of that blank space.

A non-frames site can look the same as your current website.

To add the information or make changes will require you to learn how to use an HTML program like FrontPage and how to edit your pages then upload them. There are some other ways to enable you to change content on your site or a page.. like change your website to a CMS system where you would not need to know any html stuff.. use a blog-like program to feed your page, etc.
