Sometimes I wonder...if money (funding) were not an issue...would I have chosen to be in the particular business that I`m in?

There have often been times when I`d loved to have opened a restaurant...I`ve always wanted to call it Herb`s (as in produce, not a guy named Herb .

But the money necessary for a restaurant is enourmous and the success/failure ratio is astronomical (at least here in the NYC area).

What business, other than the one you have started or have been thinking about, would you love to start...if money was not an issue?  Be honest.

I always wanted to have a bar like cheers. Or like a classic english or irish pub. It`s such a cash based risky business but i love the idea of it all.

other than that i don`t know what i`d do. definatly not a hosting company or web development shop. too much blood sweat and tears for my taste. Besides i`m in those trenches now and can`t imagine doing it myself.

If i could get paid to play video games and tech toys all day i`d be SO all over that....wait that`s what i AM trying to do LOL good for me!Clap

If money were no Object....wow what a thought! I am in the same boat as you Kim. I have always loved cooking and creating recipes so an upscale eating establishment named "White Trash Gourmet" would be something I would love to do.  I would also love to start a recording lable.  Music is my first love. Best wishes!

If money were no Object... LOL I would start a Night Club that caters to people with $$$$.. More like a High Class place where NO RAP can be heard..

I came up with a theme restaurant idea called "Meanies" after watching a man get into a fight with a bartender at an Applebees. The restaurant customers were electrified. It created quite a buzz. My idea was to have some local actors stage fights and arguments every once and a while.
Seriously, though...
I think I would get into venture capital. I`d like to create an idea incubator for everyone.

Seems like opening some kind of food/entertainment establishment is a common theme, which leads me too believe we should pitch an idea to the Food Network:  The SUN Up, SUN down show, starring the Sloan Brothers -- with Joel as the commentator!

And I looove the idea of an "idea incubator", wait isn`t this it?

Sometimes I wish that I hadn`t wasted my educational dollars on a BA and an MFA, I should have gone to law school.

Wow,

That question really gives me something to think about.  Since I grew up with a family of good cooks, and my mom worked in catering for the US government, I probably would open a nice Bistro or an upscale Bed & Breakfast.
