Looking for ideas on how to best connect with SMB's. I am part of a fairly new company that sells SMS (texting) services to retailers or organizations. I know there is no magic bullet how best achieve this and since we really dont focus on the end users, I was looking for cost effective suggestions on tactics that you may have found helpful to communicate with SMB's.

How about starting with a database for SMB's and calling them up via the telephone.
Trade associations are a great way to reach groups of similar SMB owners. You generally have a number of advertising options with a trade association -- magazine, newsletter (print or online), mailing list rental, online ads at their website, speaking opportunities at events, and trade shows.

Symantec.cloud through their heuristic based malware detection system, Skeptic, is able to identify and block these low copy number, sophisticated targeted attacks against their clients and distinguish them from the large number of non-targeted attacks. To give some context, during 2011 Skeptic detected approximately 500 000 non-targeted malware-containing emails per day, and approximately 85 targeted malware attacks per day.
