Hello everyone! I`m currently deciding on a name for my newsletter. After it develops a readership I`m going to expand the newsletter into a magazine. In a nutshell, the magazine will cover a variety of outdoor and nature topics, including educational features, news briefs, people profiles, day or weekend trips and an events calendar. It will be based in my area of Ohio for now, but I want it to be expandable into new areas as it grows.

I would like the name to convey a feeling of community and working together, while using nature-related words. I have a few ideas, but I would like to tap the awesome imagination of this group for any ideas I might have missed. We`ll call this a group brainstoriming session ...

You mentioned a possible nature-related name in your own post:  "In A Nutshell"  It may not represent "community" - but it ties into what you will be conveying...

Thanks, guys! I hadn`t thought of either one of your suggestions, Marcy. I had thought of "In a Nutshell," Jeff, but I think I`m going to use that on the inside for news briefs.

Anybody else?

Ohios` own outdoor and nature....      magizine

you are telling people what you are    with     `outdoor and nature`,      after all  that was your description.

Ohios` Own .... gives a feeling of community  and ownership to your market  the people of Ohio, at least I got the impression that they were your market.

And if you do develop the magazine to national status,  you`ll be adding credibility to Ohio as a resource  and a destination location for nature and outdoor related interests.  This will also add value to your magizine because you would also be creating  value for other people,  whether it is the state of Ohio  or other government agencies looking to create interest and tourism to their region, or other related business within your region.

This doesnt eliminate the possibility that when you gain recognition  and branding that you can`t offer related products and services yourself.

not a spicy  name  but to the point.

Do I read into things  to much///   sorry  ...  I always look to see how much you can squeeze out of everything,  I hate leaving opportunities on the table.
