I often check people`s profiles to get to their websites to see what businesses are up someone`s sleeve.  I`ve discovered a lot of talented designers on here and a bunch of cool sites, products and businesses this way.

But one can only list a single website on the profile.  I myself have more than one website for more than one business.  I cannot be alone here.  I`d like to be able to list all my sites in my profile.  Let`s expand that option, shall we?

Furthermore, I don`t think the link should just say "website" as it does now.  How about if it read something like this:

Website:  CampSteve.com
Website:  Life is Purrfect
Blog:  Zingerding

This way someone can apply any name they want to the links.  How about 3 websites and 2 blog options?  That should cover most people with more than one site.

That seems like a good idea, Steve.

Not that I have more than one.
Oh, wait, maybe I do.

But I`m currently ignoring the others.

Great idea Steve. It`s now officially in the queue for upgrades to the profile. That list is getting pretty impressive!!!

Thanks Joel.  With all the new stuff, the challenge is to not make the profiles too cluttered and hard to read.  But I think you guys do a pretty good job with content layout anyway.

One of the reasons I thought to recommend this is that I will be announcing my new web business in the next week or so.  I`m all excited and have just been thinking about ways to promote multiple sites/businesses.

Steve - there is another trick, which is to focus on one at a time.

Promoting all at the same time is confusing for people and spreads you too thin.

I force myself to just focus on one thing at a time, announcing that, and updating all my links accordingly. So I change my signature often, redo my profile, change links, etc. based on my current marketing plan.

Oh sure, in the grand scheme of things I`m not planning on promoting the different businesses evenly or even at the same time.  Though it is a place for promotion, I don`t really regard the SuN profile as a website marketing tool.  I see it more as a personal introduction to my involvement in the community.  I have changed mine around before and I am sure once I announce my new site, I will give the profile a different slant.  But that doesn`t mean I will ever not focus greatly on my artwork.

I think both can be of equal importance in my life (and in my profile) even though they are separate businesses with separate audiences, and at times will be unequal as far as my efforts go.

Thanks for the suggestion and to point out, the ever-customizable post signature is one of the best features of this site.
