How did the meeting on the 17th go??

If you work this right, you could do a database search on your SuN memberships and find the location you want to go. Then send out an email to member listing that region as their residence stating you might be planning a trip. Make a quick note on SuN that you may be looking at doing a meet and greet and watch the post go crazy with anticipation. With the forum activity you generate, Startup Nation would have no choice but to send you there. So many people want to meet their inspiration! ...there you have it. Instant vacation!

...of course you can`t tell the others at Startup Nation how you seem to be getting all the cool places to visit.

love the thinking. i have such a blast meeting people who are in this community.

for the month of may it will be two trips to SF, one to chicago, one to NY, one to Phoenix/Scottsdale, and ???

i`ll get an email out to those communities in advance of each visit to try to plan something.

maybe startupnation could get a John Madden RV or something...

Rich and Everyone...

There is a great event May 19 and 20 called the Maker Faire, and it is basically 40,000 people who make things themselves...robots, inventions, prototypes, weird stuff for Burning Man, rockets, electric cars, and anything else that can be dreamed up.  It is put on by Make Magazine, a quarterly publication that covers the same types of projects.

Anyway, TechShop will be occupied with the Maker Faire (Make Magazine has given us most of a 7,000 square foot building at the fair) from May 16 through the 21, so if we want to have a meeting at TechShop, please make it some date away from the Maker Faire...preferably AFTER!

Rich, you might want to coincide your trip so you can go to the Maker Faire.
