Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the only REAL “grants” out there are for R&D and services for the government.  There are many “loans” for starting or growing a small business that have terms that are easy to swallow for the small business owner or new business starter.  I would make an appointment with your local SBA as they are a fantastic free resource.  They have a “micro-loan program” as well as others.  Undercapitalization in the beginning is one of the main reasons why business fail.  You are very smart to look into addressing this issue before get too far along in the process.  BEST OF LUCK!
