Good day all, just wanted to share my day so far almost 4 hr`s old.

Woke up at 5 am feeling good and happy, on schedule to deliver a newly designed product to it`s first customer ( worked on it untill 9 last night and I was impressed with the outcome).

Stopped at my usual dunkin donuts for coffee, was greated by the regular folks with a smile, and my coffee, my way (they saw me walking across the parking lot) awesome!

Took my 40 mile ride to my day job without all the usual traffic (sometimes that happens), the radio station played what I wanted to hear all the way (didn`t need to change the channel), Can it get any better?

Arrived at work, walked  in the plant to find my guy`s were just finishing a major project (they started early today), which is now online in time for todays "town meeting". 

opened my email(s): work; a couple low priority requests nothing major or pressing (cool), my personal email; a couple reminders of business classes starting (gotta love free knowledge) my business email; an email from a customer (panic a little) pasted below is the content, how great can this day get?

let me set this up a bit for you, this couple purchased some chairs from me they requested some custom alterations which I happily did for them, they later had a problem with an arm leaking sap, which I replaced even offered to install it for them, however they declined. a couple weeks has passed, then today I recieved this, (they sent at 11:30 pm last night )

Thank you so much for the chair arm rest, if it stops raining some day soon, maybe we can get it painted and on the chair.  I wanted to tell you that it has been a pleasant experience interacting with you.  Your customer service is exceptional, and the chairs are beautifully made, and sold at a fair price.  I had been looking for Adirondack chairs for a while, and shopped many locations before purchasing them from you.  I believe your creations warrant more exposure, and you should consider selling them to a wholesaler or store in the area since your quality and attention to detail is quite apparent and exceeds most products in the market!

That`s awesome!! Good for you! Enjoy your day - may it progress from here to be even more beautiful!  I do have days like those and they are nice.  Thank you for taking the time to share your wondeful day - although I`m not having that good of a day ( not a bad day - just not that good so far), it helped make my day nicer to be reminded of those days!!

I woke and learned through the news that no one had won the $250 Million Mega Millions Lottery here in CA. To me, that was great! That means I have another chance to win! Going to buy a couple of tix now. 

Ok, also, I found steady income to replace the income from the sale of my business. It appears I am going to be pretty busy. The flexible hours I used to work to pay for daily needs, has become not so flexible, as I now work for someone else.

Yes Stan, I second Kim`s statement... Thank you for sharing!  My day isn`t going that well, but it in the grand scheme of things, it`s still a terrific day.  Thank you for the reminder that ANY day, CAN be a good day, depending on how you look at it.  Just the "40 mile drive to work" would have broke me!  I can`t wait to hear what tomorrow will bring!

a final follow-up the rest of the day went just as well.

put another major project to bed, delivered the special order Got paid and the woman ordered more (thats a topic for another thread). bought more lotto tickets, and stayed up late so the day would last longer.

Today is going well, but just doesn`t feel like yesterday.

Hope you all get a day like that soon.

Something else I thought about last night though too, when i happened to think of this thread - not all of those things were `little things` but some were and those little things (radio playing all the right songs and people at dunkin donuts already having the coffee ready) so often get overlooked and they really help make a day turn out great!
