I would always suggest http://www.zeuscart.com as it`s open source licensed under Free GPL. It`s very flexible and easy to customize.

Rania,

I would look into using wordpress with the shopp pligin as an ecommerce site. There are two benefits to this approach. One being, the fact the google and other search engines LOVE wordpress and thoe other being that you could incorporate a blog into your store.

You could notify customers about changes, give helpful tips, and offer discounts as blog posts. This creates ongoing content rather than a static website thats updated every so often.

If you need any help with wordpress, let me know.

Good luck!

Jerry

I read a really good review of Big Commerce and Shopify that broke down all of the differences between the two. It also gives a good overview of their strengths.
