Okay.....now I have to update you. I pitched Playboy;s holiday gift guide. But the truth is, I didn`t do it....., I let someone else do it for me. Unbelievably I threw out the info for the contact when I was told they were not interested.
Then I get this call to overnight the package for a photo shoot, which of course excited me. But, after that I could never get a response about what issue or, if they were going to use it. The last correspondence I got from the one that pitched it was they took the shoot, but they don`t know if they are going to use it, and I no longer had the right to the email address that I GAVE TO HER!......Problem was, I needed to know. After experiencing the unbelievable amount of business we received last year after being featured in Real Simple`s gift guide, I knew we would need to be prepared.
I remembered I had a phone number for who was receiving the package, so I called her today. She very nicely apologized and told me that they had so many items, that we did not make it. She wanted to return the box. I told her to pass it around the office and enjoy it, so they will know what they will be featuring, in their Father`s Day gift guide! :) But then again, I guess the Dad`s that are reading the magazine would need to tell them. :)
Kathy, did anything work out with Mad Mariner?.
Anyway, we all know, you can`t win them all.
