Took a quick peek.  Your Google Ads don`t fit your website.  Not really a website I would visit.  Sorry!

I would suggest puuting content instead of ads, moves ads to bottom or to left side if you must have them. Add why folks should join your forum on main page instead, hot topics, etc..

Just got a never-ending hourglass in Firefox, so didn`t see the site at all.

Thanks guys!  When I posted it was still very raw, and I have updated it since by redoing the mainpage as well as the skin and I reworked some of the processes to make it run more smoothly.  Check it out and see what you think now!

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,

1. I would make the text size of the blue & red text smaller.  Only someone with extreme vision trouble needs it that large.

2. I am using an 800x600 monitor resolution, and the red & blue text laps under the right-hand column.

3. I wouldn`t have Google Ads at the top of the front page.  It makes it seems like you`re more interested in making a few cents than in providing a valuable website.

4. The header is not that great.  Rather than "Welcome to Electorials.com" I would suggest just "Electorials" with "your online soapbox"  underneath and slightly bigger.  And maybe be more specific, like "a community political soapbox."  You don`t need the "online" part because that`s obvious.

5. After fixing up the design a bit, you can start adding more content, like maybe some articles.  That will attract search engines and visitors.

I guess that`s enough to get you going.  When you`ve fixed it up a bit, let us know, and we can give more pointers.

Thank you very much danae!  I will work on getting all of that fixed up and then back to the drawing board (SuN)!  I am thinking about approaching a few people I know to write blogs for my site (of course politically oriented)  as well as try to contact as many politicians as I can to write something, get interviewed or just add us on to the list of people they send press releases to, any suggestions for that?

The site took well over a minute to load, and I was going to assume it still didn`t work in Firefox. But it loaded just as I was getting ready to abandon the situation. I looked at it, and couldn`t figure out the purpose for the site.

You might want to put some content on the landing page, after you figure out how to make it load in under 10 seconds, that explains what I would do on this site.

Thank you all very much for your feedback!  I have taken much of it into consideration and made many changes!  Do you think if I add too much more color it  would make the site look cluttered?

Thank you,
