You know, I once saw a bit on the Daily Show where Jon Stewart was making fun of Jimmy Dean`s Chocolate Chip Pancake-Wrapped Sausage on a stick. I thought it was pretty bad (the food, not the bit) and since then have taken an amusement with finding similarly scary products.

A phrase Stewart said is always in mind..... "America... continuing to push the envelope on what can technically be defined as food."

With that, I present to you....
Breaded deep fried bacon

Are you scared yet?

Here in Scotland there is a local tradition of deep fried Mars Bars.

Yes, it is what you think 1 Mars Bar coated in batter and deep fried, preferrably in lard. It`s available in "fish and chip" shops, although no one has put it on a stick yet, only a matter of time though... ;-)

For anyone who thinks this has got to be an urban myth...

It may be a fake now, but I`m pretty sure they are seriously considering making this product. I know because I take those "consumer surveys" through one of the big (seemingly very legit) survey places. This product was in the survey! Other products I`ve taken surveys about have actually eventually been produced. *shivers in boots*

I believe it! Unless the survey resulted in a negative vote for that product,(which I would hope)but either way I don`t have to buy it.

I read an article this past summer about deep fried Oreo cookies becoming a popular treat at carnivals and such.

.....and surely no one wonders why America continues to be an obese society........surely
