I know what you mean.  I`m new at this too & I have a website that anyone who has incurred debt due to Cancer, would read it.  But, my website is also going to be a Charity on one side & helping people on the flip side.  I need to get help on promoting it.  The website is cancerdebt.com.  If you get help on yours, please share with me.  See my email on the website too.

Vincent wrote and excellent article on what goes into the process, and how much personal ego and mistaken skill-set awareness comes into play. How many times do we run a critique, but never hear again from the person asking for commentary?

So very true.  As a consultant, perhaps the most common obstacle I run into with website owners is trying to help them understand that the site really isn`t about "you" at all.  It`s about your audience.  And your audience only cares about "you" AFTER you`ve demonstrated what`s in it for them.  And even then, they probably don`t care much about you the vendor.  A relationship has to exist before someone will take interest in your personal reflections or goings-on.

Hmm, I feel an article coming on

Anyway, my two cents.

Cheers,
Karri

Jose,

Here are some pointers...

 1.  Your content is random and all over the place. You need a theme, which should be defined by who you are trying to reach.
2.  Digg.com - one of the unwritten rules of digg is to "bury" sites trying to promote themselves.  Write good content and others will post to digg.
3.  Join blog communites that have content close to your and become a member of those communities and link them to your blog.

Hope this helps.
