I know a lot of information on working out, cardio, nutruition, etc.. lets say I wanted to start my own website offering workout plans, diet plans, just help in general for people who need basic info and they would pay for this service, would I be able to do this on my own ?

I`m not a real fitness trainer or anything, I just have a lot of knowledge on the subject, would I need any type of license to do this even though I`d just be giving
information and help.

Thanks.

For the most part yes. When dealing with nutrition, health and fitness, you should have certifications. Not only to follow requirements but to help with the creditbility of your business. I have friends(they all are always helping me to get into a healthy routine), who run a fitness center, are fitness trainers, nutritionists and another into natural health nutrition. They have all gone through certifications, training and some are degreed in their relevent field.

What I would suggest is to check with your local college...I did and was certified as a personal trainer and it was a 3 month course. The cost is pretty resonable. And you may learn something that you did not know. I have helped 2 of these friends with there forms and information, so if you ever need information, just let me know. Or I can give you a contact  to one to ask questions to see what is involved. Even if you become a certified coach and deal with weight issues and planning you should be certified. It will not only help your creditbility in the field, you will gain knowledge and follow state regulations. I know that WIT has courses nationwide. When you start building out your business, let me know, i would be happy to share some information and forms with you.

HI Gakhteebo,
With blogging around certification are things of past, especially with sharing your knowledge online with people in need of your expertise.Having said that certifications add that `credibility` and `trust` factor, which is body and soul of all online businesses.
You have to find ways of building trust and credibility in your business. Check out how online shops do that! Some have these digital signature for payments, that assures buyers of safety and security; Ebay has this feedback system, others give `money back guarantees`. Every business has a different way of building trust with their prospective customers. The day you can find and implement yours, you`ll be on the right track.
GImme a shout to discuss more, I am on online marketer and love to help people like you.

Yah, if you put a blog together, and specifiy that you`re not a medically trained or certified person, I think you could share your knowledge just as anyone else can do so. If you`re very worried about it, just talk with an attorney. Be sure the attorney is up to speed on blogs and publishing "advice" documents.

most people get info from blogs because its free....for paid diet advice, they usually go to a nutritionist.....for paid exercise, to a personal trainer.

I would suggest going to a health/nutrition/wellness expo and see what`s out there and compare and see how people do this, their qualifications, etc.
