I wanted to list my first Marketplace item, and when it came down to choosing the categories, none of the choices fit!

I do trainings and educational workshops on teens and online use as well as teen sexuality. I put myself under "Human Resources" since there was no "Education" or "Training" options . I could also put myself under "Internet" but that is for tecchies, and that is not really what I am after.

Thoughts or ideas on how to categorize myself?

I think you should just tell Joel to make a new one!

Yep, I had the same issue as a designer. I didn`t think it fit under
Marketing, Sales and PR but that`s where I put it.

Some enhancements can happen more swiftly than others.

In the meantime, the best way to make your Marketplace Listing to stand out is to make certain that you title it properly and use well thought out keywords so that it will come up in a search.

AND also contribute often in the community forums, especially regarding topics that involve your area of expertise. That will increase your reputation and brand, and drive people to your profile where they will see your Marketplace Listings.

And YES ... keep the great ideas coming!!

I recently visited the marketplace after not exploring it since its launch. I
was pleasantly surprised to see that I was the top most popular listing!
Wow! That was about a week or so ago and I`m still there. I guess I have
a good title and likeable writing. :) I`ve even gotten a paid logo gig
through SuN here. Cool! Thanks for the marketplace!
