This is great:

OMG Girlz Don`t Exist on teh Intarweb!!!!1

"I`ve been watching and observing the internet for quite some time now. It`s like a science project with the usual control and variables. The control is: I am a girl. The variables are the medium through which this fact is expressed. The results all point to the same paradoxical conclusion: I am a girl, but girls do not exist on the internet."

Come to think of it, I used to play a character on another RPG. My character was female, and did pretty well. I think about half the people I played with thought I was a guy playing a girl`s character. Then we had a meet-up, in person with several players, and it was confirmed - I did exist as a girl Funny stuff.

Funny! My daughter met my son-in-law online in a chat room and they played Scrabble online together almost nightly for a year and a half. At first, she told him she was a guy and looked a lot like Bill Clinton (LOL!) and he had trouble getting that image out of his head. He wasn`t really convinced she was a girl until they met in person about a year into the Scrabble-playing relationship. They`ve been married now for five years and have a new baby, so I guess the Clinton image eventually wore off. :)

It`s amazing how many relationships start online nowadays, isn`t it? I have a friend that I met online about 8 or 9 years ago now, and we talk all the time. He`s one of my best friends.
