Hi,

I have successful website business that I would like to sell. My intended price price is somewhere in the ball park of 100k-200k, it is a t-shirt printing shop + an unique website that generates 5k a month consistently.

My question is, how to I go about doing this?

I would like to get rid of because I am in high school and will be going to college next year and I obviously don`t have the time even though I will be going to school not so far away from home. The website took in $16,000 online alone +offline custom orders, my revenue was about 20k for the last 3 months. The profit margin is very high, think 70-80%.

I utilize a marketing system that revolves around my space and face book and it has been pretty good. Being in HS, I only developed the website in my spare time, and it has great potential if someone can do it full-time. I actually thought about quitting school to pursue it full-time, but I decided against that.

So do I need to hire an online broker or someone? Is there a place where I can post the classified ad? I did emailed all my friends who are evenly remotely interested.

Any advice?

Thanks

One problem I have is that nobody believes in my sales numbers.

I mean what kind of proof would be reasonable? I mean I scream to them, Please, trust me, and they don`t. I point out credit card processing company statements, they tell me its fake. I take a screen shot of my web site`s admin page with the orders listed, they tell me its doctored.

Can you prepare some sort of financial statements?
Do you have tax returns for this business?

Perhaps you can bring in an accountant as an "independent auditor" to prepare some financial statements for you?

That`s so weird, for people to call you a liar ... but, eh, I guess the web is full of scams! I think the independent auditor could lend you some credibility.

Yep, nikole`s suggestion is the only thing that came to mind when I looked at your question. A 3rd party auditor would bring some credibility to the table, I think.

You might also want to look at this thread, about putting a value on a site. There`s a lot of good info there.
