Colors makes website design wonderful and add live factor in your web design. Color selection of different things on the web page like its background, image, header, font color and all the things present on the web page together create nice looking websites and layouts. Along with selecting color for one object on the page, you have to keep in mind the compliance of that color with another object's color which are going to display together on a specific web page. Below are some ideal guideline for color selection.

Industry specific color:  while Designing website niche specific which gives an idea to first look about kind of business, color selection is a key factor. Certain colors are common and must be used in website for that specific industry.

Color As per age group of audience : Color selection makes impact on your audience. We are designing website for our audience and to get a good critique in terms of performance and UX, we must keep in mind the range of age your users belong to.

Color With Country : Some colors are considered as sign of god in some country or which represents the sound of nationality. Choosing those colors to specific country may impress the audience of that specific country.

Color Following modern trends : We would always prefer that our designed website would follow latest trends in web design and we don't have any choice to think about above things if Client likes it best.

One of the first things to consider is you should pick a natural color scheme. If you pick colors that are too bright or too fake, people might get offended and walk off from your site. Natural colors that are warm to the eyes will help a great lot.

When you use colors, make sure you use a maximum of 3 colors consistently throughout the entire website. Do not make your website a rainbow, a site full of confusing and distracting colors. Make sure the colors you've chosen are well within the purpose of your site.

No bedroom is more lovingly planned than the baby's nursery. Every parent wants the youngest member of the family to feel safe and happy in a bedroom that is colorful and interesting. Choosing the perfect color palette for your baby’s room depends on several factors. For some parents, continuity is important, and if the rest of the house is traditional, they want the nursery to echo that theme. On the other hand, other parents like incorporating variety into their decorating style and try to match individual rooms to the personality of the occupant. Additional considerations include the size of the room, the natural lighting available, the gender of the baby and special features such as murals or architecture.

The Internet is an almost inexhaustible source of applications and sites and given the current trend the future will bring a steady growth both in numbers but also in importance. The winner of this avalanche of possibilities is definitely the Internet user who will decide who will thrive and who will require a rethinking or changing of strategy. One of the most important factors in attracting customers is the color; its eye-catching power can convert visitors into regular users or customers. Choosing a color scheme for a site is not easy, this being emphasized by the importance of color in the whole ensemble. Another advantage in choosing the right color layout is the power of suggestion, vision is color dominated, and in the absence of writing it will take certain meanings.

  1. Does your website need to sync with an existing color scheme? This is often the case for business sites that need to reflect the branding that the company already uses.
  2. What’s the purpose of the website? If the aim is to sell something, the colors you choose will need to inspire the right kind of emotion in people. Check out this article on color psychology in marketing for further info.
  3. What kind of photos and graphics will you incorporate into the site? It’s important that your color scheme matches your images, and vice versa. Photos can actually be a great source of inspiration when it comes to choosing colors for your site.

Hi Everyone!

Here's a useful (free , online) utility that will help you pick a colorscheme for your website or design. Works on the classic recognized principles of color theory (the kind they teach in art schools). Will set up the html for you & export it.

http://colorschemedesigner.com/

If you like it, you can download my toolbar that has it built in (plus various other graphic design utilities & timesavers) ALSO FREE :)
