I have an invention that is based along the lines of technology and I want to get it into retail stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.
Who do I talk to in order for these LARGE chain stores to consider my invention for sale?
Would headquarters be the decision makers for what their retail stores sell?

BTW - this site is wonderful !

Big retailers can be hard to get into.  You can start with the store manager, they might be able to give you some guidance and keep following the people they tell you to talk to until you find the buyer.  If you know where the headquarters are located, call and ask for a buyer.

Best of luck.

I don`t know what stage your invention is at but if you don`t have much sales it`s probably not such a bad idea to start with the smaller retailers and scale up to the larger ones. The smaller retailers are easier to contact and sell.

If you have sales and a customer base I would make a list of all the potential stores that could sell your product and call each one and ask for a meeting with the stores buyer.

Good Luck!
