The opposite of self-doubt is self-esteem. Someone once said: "If you want self-esteem, do esteemable things."

Another way to break the "repetitive" cycle is to practice meditation (not necessarily at work....and still do your job of course) BIG Hint: When practicing mediation...you don`t NEEEEED to actually hear anything :)

If you don`t have a degree already-- go to school. Or have some other (outside work) goal that you are earnestly working on. This will give you hope :)

Here`s an exercise from the Abraham-Hicks folks:

Take a sheet of paper and divide it into two columns. For the left column, title it "To Do." For the right column, title in "The Universe."

In the left column list ONLY things you know for sure you can get finished and done within the next 48 hours. That`s it. No leeway, no hedging, no guessing---you know for sure that`s what you`ll be finished with completely in two days.

In the right column, do two things. First, list what you want. Secondly, work on a way to list each thing without ever using any kind of "not" or negative phrasing.

So for example, "I don`t want to work here anymore." That`s a "do not want" to do something. Instead, how could you phrase that the other way? You might say, "I want to work someplace else."

Another example, "I want to get rid of my debts." In a subtle way, this too is a "I do not want my debts." To rephrase it, consider what`s the opposite of debt. You might say, "I want the money to pay off all my debts." An even better way would be to say, "I want a nice big savings account."

By focusing on what you know you can accomplish, you`ll start to create a separation in your mind between those things you can nominally control, and those you can`t. Secondly, by listing what you want and simply sticking those things into the "somehow" column (the Universe), you offload them from your attention.

The biggest problem people have is that they try to keep all these things in their conscious attention span. That can only handle maybe 5-7 items, period. So trying to keep track of 5 things they need to do, and another 20 things they really want to have....that makes for a huge amount of stress.

Your subconscious isn`t going to "forget" anything! What you put into the right-hand column, your subconscious mind will remember. It`ll work on it, and you`ll find yourself playing around with better phrasing. That keeps it percolating.

What is it you want?

That exercise that Craig gave you is a great one. Also, "The Secret" is only the tip of the iceberg. If you want to really learn more about the Law of Attraction and the other laws (yes, there are other laws you need to know!), visit www.abraham-hicks.com or get one of their books. I have two of their audio books and also a couple of their DVD sets and they are excellent. You can get them at your local big bookstore or Amazon or on their site. Their book "Ask And It Is Given" is a very good starting point. Once you understand where The Secret came from, you will understand more on how to implement it and why things happen the way that they do. Good luck! It`s working for me. :)

I have been looking for the secret for my whole life and never knew it.  I have always had this skill to create things in my life but never really understood how i got what i wanted and how i got what i didn`t want! Now i do, so i can control it.

A really simple example of the secret working for me...my partner and I were sat watching TV and he commented i wish we had a couple of laptops, so we can log onto the net and look up all the ideas we have while we sit relaxing (our pc is upstairs, works really slowly so we don`t use it that much).  So i said to him, manifest it, think and feel that you already have the things you desire.  So he did for a few days and so did i...and within a month my partner came across a decent laptop that was being chucked away at work and i got a contract job and a laptop came with the job!   So within 4 weeks after requesting the laptops from the universe, our request was answered!

We now have fun filled evenings of staring at our laptops in front of the TV....mmmm maybe not the best manifestation but it worked!

Yes, action is sometimes needed, as long as it feels good and you don`t feel as if you`re going against the current.  Good luck Elliot! Keep learning.

Old Japanese proverb--

Vision without action is a daydream.
Action without vision is a nightmare.

I believe The Secret is somewhere in there!

Imho...the so-called "secret" is really not. It`s just the same old visualization techniques of old re-written. While I don`t subscribe to what I think is hokypoky I do believe that out of the heart, so a person is. The true secret to life is no secret at all to me. It`s the Words of Jesus Christ and the Apostles that should fill a person`s heart and mind, and not material things. Things are meant to be used, and not to fill a person`s heart, as they really have no lasting significance in the grand scheme of things since you can`t take it with you. So I don`t make material things and money my gods. But I do believe that God will give one the desires of one`s heart if they earnestly seek Him.

`It`s just the same old visualization techniques of old re-written.`

I don`t agree though, though i like to take everything with a pinch of salt. there are some new things available. like using music and stuff to help the visualisation process? here you can take a look if you want.

After watching the secret. I adopt the following steps to ensure that I am always moving 1 step closer to my dreams:-

(1) Feel gratitude towards my current circumstances every morning such as able to meet and learnt so much from Stephen Pierce and Bob Proctor.

(2) Visualize my real reality and how it should be ( that is staying at home with my little girl)

(3) Focus on Efficiency and effectiveness at work so that I can meet my departmental KPI that my CEO wants and yet go home on dot

(4) Put actions into internet marketing at night because I live with this formula

Thoughts + Positive Emotions = Action to Manifest Dreams into Reality

From Bob Proctor, I learnt that thinking great thoughts alone is no use. The feelings is the missing key to manifest abundance.

(5) Sleep and feel happy because I am feeling 1 step closer to my dreams each day

Cheers!
