I am looking for an angel who could also work as an employee. I need someone to drive the business development who has experience in start-ups. He would then have more responsabilities than an advisors. I am in the Bay Area.

Any advices on how to find angels? Do you think it is possible to have them as employees (or partners)?

Okay....I know, I know...but I just can`t resist.

Have you spoken with God? I`m pretty sure He has to decide whether or not an angel can be hired on as an employee.

rotflamo Craig!!!!  Too funny.  I think they are kind of busy most of the time, Lord knows we need them!

I think it would be an exceptionally bad idea to hire your angel.  Hire a relative and keep your finances separate.  Most angels do not need/want to work.  If they did they would have their own business.

Why do you only have to have one person for both "positions"? You`re asking an odd question IMO.

As for questions as basic as "Where to find angels?", don`t waste your time asking; look in Google. You might as well have asked, "Where can I find a new car?" There are tons and tons and tons of articles/sites that you can google.

It is possible to have an investor as a partner or active participant in the day to day business. Considering the challenges of starting a business, I`d say it`s much more important to be "sure" that you (and them) share common values, passion and commitment - than it is to have their capital.

I`d suggest separating the capital and the partner search.
