Hi to all

I would like to test different ideas before I actually commit to one and use it as my main source of living. My business needs to allow me free mobility (that is it can be run entirely online). What is the process you might suggest I use to test out different business ideas without committing too much money in one basket to ensure that there is an actual market and that people are willing to buy what I want to offer?

There are a lot of ways to test out a business idea.  This article about testing small business ideas might be a good place to start. 

You can also create a twitter or facebook following around your intended product or service and ask them what they think of it.  You could as far as offering something for free and asking for testimonials in return. 

Another way to test a product is on eBay.  You can test to see what price the product sells for as well as how many people on eBay are bidding on the product. 

You might also want to check out the 4 Hour Work Week b Tim Ferriss.  There are some good ideas in that book as well.

First of all I think you have to make a market research. See if there are close competitors. By doing this, you will receive an overview about your business environment. Try to think in a consumer way. Would you want your own product, are there more people like you?
