We start our series today with the Conference Mobile Web App features and case studies, mainly due to the fact that we are actually talking to several potential clients from this area and we have received tons of emails asking what we can do for conferences.  We sat and thought it through and thoroughly and we came up with the following list of features:

What is the first thing that comes in anyone’s mind when hearing the word “conference”? Networking. And here is where we came up with the first brilliant idea of the day – what if we could include the contacts in the conference’s MWA? And we did! So basically, we start up by giving the conference’s organizers the possibility to have in their MWA the entire list of attendees, speakers, sponsors/partners and organizers, along side with each one’s bio, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn profile. Hence, feature number one: Contacts.

Next on the list is Social Media. It comes needless to say that social media has become an extension of our lives, helping us to be in touch all with people all around the globe. Therefore, yes, the subject of your MWA can be posted, shared, liked, tweeted, re-tweeted, on Facebook and Twitter.

The next point on the agenda is the Schedule. Based on the premises that most conference last more than a day, and even if that were the case, attendees surely would love to know the schedule of the conference, so why not give them that? The full schedule, alongside with the speakers and attendees per time-frame will be available as a feature on your MWA.

And since we make it social, why not go all the way? With the Photo & Video Galleryfeature, your conference’s MWA can only take a turn on the right path towards mass acknowledgement and visibility.

Of course, Static Pages and News will also be included (this almost comes as a no-brainer) but the real cool features are yet to come. We admit that some ideas came to our mind from the “Eyes wide shut” movie, but the idea of having an invitation-based conference is not as movie-like as you might think. And to make it more interesting and easier to target, we introduced some QR codes in the process. So Invite codes/QR codes does not look so out of this life-time after all, huh…?

Not only did we thought that it would come in handy to be able to load and distribute thePresentation that the speakers had on the conference, but also the possibility to Export Business Cards is a great benefit for everybody attending or organizing the conference. Last, but not least, StreamingRSSNotifications and Archives for the last month’s/year’s conference are features that don’t necessarily need a special description.

This is the Conference package we have put together for you, but keep in mind that we will be in constant development and cool new features will appear soon. That is, with a little bit of help from you as well. What else would you include? If you have something in mind or a need for a special feature for your Conference MWA, drop us some comments.

Until next week, we wish you all the best and use those smartphones wisely!

Something I found helpful at a conference I was at was the ability to set up a custom schedule for the conference. I was able to choose all the sessions I planned to attend, and then only those sessions appeared on my phone. It was really nice not to have to wade through the entire schedule (which was also available to me if desired) on my phone just to see where I wanted/needed to go.

Going virtual at work place is the need of the hour as businesses are now surpassing the geographic domains and proliferating in a new way. In this regard i found an article giving description about an i-phone app for virtual business. That was really good. Also promotional items may be included in the business promotions.
